The Design Values Award (DVA) is an international award celebrating contemporary Chinese design. Launched in 2024 through a collaboration between the V&A Museum in London and Design Society in Shenzhen.

With categories in Fashion, Textile and Jewellery Design, Architecture and Environmental Design, Product Design and Visual Communication and Interactive Design, the Award celebrates outstanding achievements across diverse fields, highlighting China’s influential role in global design. It honours designs that enhance quality of life, foster sustainable development, and tackle pressing global challenges - creating a platform for impactful and meaningful innovation.

We were tasked with designing the logo for this award. The overall shape creates an eye, representing the visual world and an eye to appreciate design. The logo mark looks to you and the future of creatives for "China's answers" to issues in the new era. It is an eye wide open, looking to the future of possibilities.

The circular type held together by the two outer shapes represent the gathering, support, and promotion of outstanding Chinese designers. This convergence of shapes emphasizes the exchange of opportunities and influence.
